The Cleveland Cavaliers are on a 10-game winning streak and have the best record in the NBA, and they’ll look to keep the momentum going when they visit the Chicago Bulls on Tuesday night. Chicago is 24-37 on the season and sits 10th in the Eastern Conference standings, while Cleveland is now 50-10 overall and leads Boston for the top spot in the East by 7.5 games. The Cavs have won nine of the last 10 meetings between these two franchises, but the Bulls have covered the spread in three of their last four matchups.

Tipoff from the United Center in Chicago is set for 8 p.m. ET. Cleveland is a 12.5-point favorite in the latest Bulls vs. Cavaliers odds from SportsLine consensus, while the over/under for total points scored is 244.5. Before making any Cavaliers vs. Bulls picks, you’ll want to see the NBA predictions from the proven computer model at SportsLine.

Why the Bulls can cover
Chicago is coming off a 127-112 loss to the Indiana Pacers on Sunday. The Bulls shot 50% from the floor and had a 42-36 rebounding advantage but were outgunned at the 3-point line. The Pacers went 19-for-44 (43.2%) from beyond the arc, while Chicago went just 10-for-33 (30.3%).

However, Coby White had 26 points and seven rebounds in the defeat, and Josh Giddey had a productive outing with 18 points, nine rebounds and seven assists. Rookie forward Matas Buzelis continues to develop nicely in an expanded role as well, with 18 points and six rebounds against Indiana. Since the Zach LaVine trade, Buzelis is averaging 13.3 points per game and shooting 50% from the floor. See which team to pick here.

Why the Cavaliers can cover
Meanwhile, the Cavaliers earned a 133-129 win over the Portland Trail Blazers to continue their winning streak on Sunday. De’Andre Hunter led the team with 32 points, and Ty Jerome added 25 points, six assists, five rebounds and six steals off the bench. Donovan Mitchell was held out of the lineup for rest but is expected to make his return on Tuesday in Chicago.

A dream season for Cleveland has also been a dream season for Cleveland bettors, with the Cavaliers piling up a 39-20-1 record against the spread this season. They are 6-1-1 against the spread over their last eight games and have also covered in their last five games against Eastern Conference opponents. However, Evan Mobley has been declared out for Tuesday’s contest (rest). See which team to pick here.

How to make Bulls vs. Cavaliers picks
The model has simulated Cleveland vs. Chicago 10,000 times and the results are in. It is leaning Under the total, projecting 235 combined points. It also says one side of the spread is the better value. You can only see the NBA picks at SportsLine.

2025 NBA picks, March 4 best bets from proven model

Trae Young and the Atlanta Hawks will host Damian Lillard and the Milwaukee Bucks for a high-profile point guard matchup in the Eastern Conference on Tuesday night. Atlanta is 28-33 on the season and currently sits ninth in the Eastern Conference standings, while Milwaukee is 34-25 overall and is up to fourth in the East. These two franchises have split their last 10 head-to-head meetings down the middle, and they’re also both 5-5 against the spread during that span.

For Tuesday’s matchup, tipoff from State Farm Arena in Atlanta is set for 7:30 p.m. ET. Milwaukee is a 7-point favorite in the latest Hawks vs. Bucks odds from SportsLine consensus, while the over/under for total points scored is 240.5. Before making any Bucks vs. Hawks picks, you’ll want to see the NBA predictions from the proven computer model at SportsLine.

Why the Hawks can cover
The Hawks are coming off a 132-130 win over the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday night. Young had a tough shooting night, going 5-for-17 from the floor and only scoring 12 points, but he helped make up for that by dishing out 15 assists. No. 1 overall pick Zaccharie Risacher also helped pick up the slack with a team-high 27 points, and Caris LeVert also had 25 points off the bench.

Atlanta shot 57.4% from the floor as a team in the victory and also went 13-of-28 from the 3-point line (46.4%). The Hawks have now covered the spread in nine of their last 13 games, but they will be at a rest disadvantage with the Bucks last playing on Saturday. However, they have won and covered the spread in two of three against Milwaukee and could face a Bucks team without Kyle Kuzma (ankle) who is listed as doubtful. See which team to pick here.

Why the Bucks can cover
Meanwhile, the Bucks have had a couple of days to enjoy a 132-117 win over the Dallas Mavericks on Saturday. Giannis Antetokounmpo had 29 points, nine rebounds and nine assists in the victory, while Lillard added 28 points, six rebounds and six assists.

Milwaukee had a dominant 52-33 advantage on the glass over Dallas, but it’s been an inconsistent season for the Bucks in that category. They rank last in the NBA in offensive rebounding percentage (19.6%) but sixth in defensive rebounding percentage (76.1%). However, they’ve still managed to go 32-17 since a 2-8 start and have covered the spread in five of their last seven. See which team to pick here.

How to make Hawks vs. Bucks picks
The model has simulated Milwaukee vs. Atlanta 10,000 times and the results are in. It is leaning Under the total, projecting 228 combined points. It also says one side of the spread hits almost 70% of the time. You can only see the NBA picks at SportsLine.

2025 NBA picks, March 4 best bets from proven model

We’ve got another exciting interconference contest on Tuesday’s NBA schedule as the San Antonio Spurs will host the Brooklyn Nets. San Antonio is 25-34 overall and 14-14 at home, while Brooklyn is 21-39 overall and 12-19 on the road. The Spurs defeated the Nets, 96-87, in Brooklyn on Dec. 27 in their first meeting of the season.

Tipoff is set for 8:30 p.m. ET from the Frost Bank Center in San Antonio. The Spurs are favored by 4 points in the latest Nets vs. Spurs odds, according to the SportsLine consensus. The over/under is 227.5 points. Before entering any Spurs vs. Nets picks, you’ll want to see the NBA predictions from the model at SportsLine.

The SportsLine Projection Model simulates every NBA game 10,000 times and has returned well over $10,000 in betting profit for $100 players on its top-rated NBA picks over the past six-plus seasons. The model has set its sights on San Antonio vs. Brooklyn. You can head to SportsLine to see its picks. Here are several NBA betting lines for Nets vs. Spurs:

Spurs vs. Nets spread: Spurs -4
Spurs vs. Nets over/under: 227.5 points
Spurs vs. Nets money line: Spurs -173, Nets +145
BRK: The Nets are 18-10-1 against the spread (ATS) as a road underdog
SA: The Spurs have covered the spread in each of their last three games as a home favorite

Why the Nets can cover
Cam Thomas is off the injury report for the Nets and expected to play in his second game after missing nearly two full months with a hamstring injury. Brooklyn’s leading scorer had 16 points over 21 minutes in his return against the Trail Blazers on Friday, and with the Nets ranking second-to-last in scoring at 104.8 points per game, Thomas could provide a significant offensive boost. The 23-year-old guard is averaging 24.3 ppg this season after averaging career-high 22.5 ppg last year.

The Nets have remained competitive thanks to their stout defense as Brooklyn ranks 10th with 111.3 points allowed per game. With Thomas, Cameron Johnson and D’Angelo Russell all off the injury report, the Nets will be healthier than they’ve been the majority of the season entering this matchup against the Spurs, who are 1-5 over their last six games. See which team to pick here.

Why the Spurs can cover
The Spurs fell just shy of covering their 13-point spread in a 146-132 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder with the best record in the Western Conference on Sunday, one day after a last-second victory over the Grizzlies. De’Aaron Fox made a 20-foot game-winning jumper with 2.1 seconds left in the fourth quarter to break a tie at 128 against Memphis. Fox, along with Devin Vassell, finished with 20 points and Stephon Castle, the No. 4 overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, had 24 points in the win.

Although the Spurs have struggled lately, the same can be said about the Nets, who enter on a four-game losing streak. Brooklyn is coming off a 115-94 loss to the Pistons on Saturday. Castle had 32 points against the Thunder and has scored at least 22 points in three straight games. He’s questionable for Tuesday with a sprained thumb, but if he can play, he’ll provide a boost for San Antonio at home. See which team to pick here.

How to make Spurs vs. Nets picks
The model has simulated Nets vs. Spurs 10,000 times and the results are in. The model is leaning Under, projecting 221 combined points, and it also says one side of the spread hits over 50% of the time. You can only see the pick at SportsLine.

Odds, betting advice, player prop bets for game on Thursday Dec. 19

The Raptors host the Nets on Thursday night, in a battle of two of the bottom-five teams in the Eastern Conference standings (7:30 p.m. ET, Sportsnet). Both teams are looking to snap out of a funk, with Toronto slightly favored to pull off the home win.

The Sporting News has you covered with the betting odds for this star-studded clash and some best bets and top props from BetMGM.

MORE: NBA betting, explained: Complete guide to odds, types of bets, more

This should be a fun one for hoops fans and bettors alike. Let’s get to the best bets, top props, and final score prediction for the Raptors vs. Nets on Thursday night.

Raptors vs. Thunder odds, pick against spread
All odds and props are from BetMGM, an authorized gaming operator of the NBA.

ATS: Raptors -3.5 (-110) | Nets +3.5 (-110)
Moneyline: Raptors -175 | Nets +145
Over/under: O 218.5 (-105) | U 219.5 (-115)
Darko Rajaković’s squad finds itself favored for the second game in a row, and just the second time all season. The Raptors were also favored to beat the Bulls on Monday but ultimately fell to Chicago by one point after a dagger three-pointer by Bulls guard Lonzo Ball.

The Raptors are singing “Mama said there’d be days like this” rather than “It’s the most wonderful time of the year.” They have dropped five straight games, and haven’t won on their home floor in over 15 days.

Brooklyn is in a similar boat. After a promising start to the season, the Nets have lost three straight games and 10 of their last 15. In a few short weeks, they’ve dropped from a playoff seed to outside of Play-In positioning.

Both these teams have a lot more fight than their ugly records might suggest, though. Toronto (7-20) has gone 18-8-1 against the spread, good for the second-best cover rate in the NBA (69.2%). The Nets (10-16) have gone 15-10-1 ATS, the eighth-best cover rate in the league.

Raptors vs. Nets best bets and final score prediction
The Raptors don’t seem like a very comfortable 3.5-point home favorite. Franchise player Scottie Barnes (ankle) remains questionable to play, while point guard Immanuel Quickley (elbow), big man Jakob Poeltl (groin) and utility player Bruce Brown (knee) all remain out.

Toronto has endured a tough stretch, which often entails struggling to get out to any semblance of a lead early into games. And, second-half come-from-behind wins have been nonexistent. When the Raps trail at halftime, they have gone 0-14.

That’s not great news against a feisty Nets team that averages 55.3 first-half points per game and 56.1 first-half PPG on the road. In stark contrast, the Raptors have averaged just 51.6 first-half PPG over their past five games.

Even without former Raptors guard Dennis Schröder (traded to Golden State recently), Jordi Fernández’s squad has been battling hard. The Nets put up 119 points in Memphis last Friday, with a whopping eight different players dropping 12-plus points.

The Nets have some lengthy defenders in Ben Simmons, Dorian Finney-Smith and Nic Claxton, all of whom should make the lives of RJ Barrett, Gradey Dick and Kelly Olynyk difficult. Brooklyn also has some shot-makers in Cam Thomas, Cam Johnson and Shake Milton.

The Raptors have been one of the trustiest covers in NBA betting this season, but that’s mostly because they’re rarely favored to win. Without Barnes and multiple other key players, expect them to drop their second consecutive game both straight up and against the spread.

FINAL SCORE PREDICTION: Nets 119, Raptors 116 — The Nets win straight up and the total goes well OVER the projected total of 218.5.

Raptors vs. Nets top player prop bet
Cameron Johnson, F, Nets: OVER 21.5 points (-105)
With Dennis Schröder gone, this Nets team is starting to feel more and more like Cam Johnson’s. He has dropped 26 points in three of Brooklyn’s past five games, and he has exceeded this over/under in four of the past five.

NBA rumors link Grizzlies to popular Nets’ trade candidate to bolster starting lineup

While the Oklahoma City Thunder, Houston Rockets and Dallas Mavericks dominate the Western Conference, the second-place Memphis Grizzlies are often overlooked. They are 18-9, and Ja Morant is playing at an All-Star level, keeping them in the top five in both offensive and defensive ratings.

However, after an injury-riddled season last year that kept them out of the postseason, the Grizzlies are not seen as a legitimate title threat, even though all the advanced metrics and their record point to them being legitimate contenders. Many of the league’s best teams have been linked to some premier trade targets, and the Grizzlies are a sensible landing spot.

Highlights: Jerzy Robinson leads Sierra Canyon over Vanden in high school girls basketball

Memphis ranks 14th in 3-point attempts per game and 16th in percentage, making only 35.8% of their shots from behind the arc. If they are willing to match salary, they could get involved in the Cameron Johnson sweepstakes.

“Many around the league expect Johnson to be next, though his salary may be a little trickier to move with his $4.5 million in unlikely incentives that count against the aprons,” Bleacher Report’s Eric Pincus wrote Wednesday. “Teams facing financial pressure may be challenging, but keep an eye on the Memphis Grizzlies and Sacramento Kings.”

Johnson is one of the best trade assets in the NBA. Currently averaging a career-high 18.6 points on 43.3% shooting from deep, the Brooklyn Nets are expected to trade him away in pursuit of their tank and rebuild.

Johnson has been linked to his fair share of suitors, ranging from the Los Angeles Lakers, San Antonio Spurs, Denver Nuggets and plenty of others, although for the simple price of Marcus Smart and a draft pick, the Grizzlies could make a surprise bid.

Smart is valued in Memphis, but he has only six starts this season and a full injury history. Johnson, meanwhile, is reliable and would be an immediate upgrade to the starting lineup, allowing Jaylen Wells to come off the bench and dominate weaker opponents.

Ex-Lakers sharpshooter having career season predicted as 76ers trade target

Philly Take with RB floated another potential option for the Sixers: Detroit Pistons sharpshooter Malik Beasley. Beasley has been a bit of a journeyman over the past several years, and this season, he’s been excellent.

Beasley has produced more with the touches the Pistons give him. He’s averaging a career-high 16 points while shooting 43.7% and 41.4% from three.

This has paid off for the Pistons, who are 11-16 and the No. 10 seed in the Eastern Conference, a game and a half ahead of the Sixers in the conference standings.

That’s why it’s hard to see the Pistons giving him up. They don’t want to mess with their most promising team since Blake Griffin’s days.

The only way the Sixers could get Beasley
The Pistons could mess with what’s working, but only for an upgrade. If they find an upgrade for Beasley, that could lead to a potential trade to the Sixers later.

It’s hard to see the Pistons trading Beasley in the middle of a career season, but it has happened before. They’ve been impressive, but they are also at a crossroads.

They could also pack it in for the season to try for Cooper Flagg, but they may see this season as a stepping stone to something better.

President of Basketball Operations Daryl Morey has pulled a rabbit out of a hat before, so never say never. If he managed to get Beasley, it would be a colony of rabbits he pulled out to be honest.
